The Valley Oak, sometimes called the California White Oak, is native tree here in the Sacramento Valley. I found this sprig of leaves in my neighborhood and guessed it would make a nice ecoprint because of its high tannin content. Wow! It did! Hand-printed fabrics in shades of deep green and brown frame the oak leaves.

Medium: Hand-printed textiles includingcyanotypes, ecoprints, and rust prints on upcycled natural fabrics. Natural linen/cotton borders. Mounted on archival 300# watercolor paper.

Size: 12” x 12”

Frame: Framed in white shadowbox frame with glass, 12.75 x 12.75 x 1.125”. Ready to hang. Signed and dated on the back.
